There is always a Balinese performing a ceremony in Bali. Anywhere, everywhere! My favourite ceremony was about Arjuna, one of the most important characters of the Mahabaratha Gita or ‘The Song of the Lord’, an epic poem that is extremely important for the Hindu tradition and that was studied by Elizabeth Gilbert, the author of the book ‘Eat, Pray, Love’ in India.
I was looking for special things in my closet to bring to Bali when I found this white bikini that I bought at Zara long time ago. As soon as I found it I felt the same electrifying vibrations I sensed when I saw it on the rack of the shop that rainy afternoon five years ago. Its simplicity perfectly aligned with my personality and style and when I saw it I knew it was already mine.

We were lucky as we arrived early at the house of Ketut Lyer and were third in line. He takes all the time his ‘patients’ need and solves all the questions asked. The two girls before me asked him his age, questions and more questions about his age, in my opinion a waste of time as Elizabeth Gilbert couldn’t guess it either. Then, it was my turn.
